Isola Luce candles are made of 100% palm oil to produce a candle that burns without smoke or soot. The candles do not contain any petroleum oil based wax products. Palm oil is harvested from palm kernels and NO TREES are harmed in the process. The palm oil used to make these candles are the same palm oil that many regional people have used to cook with for thousands of years and it is proven to be a completely SAFE product. Harmful dyes are not used because food coloring colors the candles just as beautifully. Some candle manufacturers choose to cut costs by using cheap lead core wicks, but we use 100% cotton wicks from Germany to avoid the slightest possibility of lead poisoning.

Why should I burn palm oil candles instead of paraffin or wax candles?
Palm oil candles are made from palm oil which is has been used as cooking oil in many parts of the world for thousands of years. Many people do not realize that wax candles are petroleum oil based products.
What is the difference between the type of flame that palm oil gives off and the type of flame that wax candles gives off?
Palm Oil candles have the highest concentration of Stearic Acid in any candle available today, that is why they are also known as STEARIN candles. Stearic Acid is key in giving off the brightest and most desirable type of White light, many inferior candles actually have a dim yellow light.
Do they really have a longer burning time than wax candles?
Yes, because they actually have a higher molecular density than wax candles which causes them to burn longer. Many of our customers are surprised at how long these candles last.

Stronger & More Durable Structure
Palm oil candles do not melt till temperatures reach 131’ Fahrenheit unlike paraffin candles which start to get soft at 86’ Fahrenheit. This higher melting point enables palm oil candles to retain their shape throughout their entire burning time without fear of folding over like paraffin wax candles. They are also more ideal candles in hotter climates and warmer temperatures. Should you need to ship our candles in the summertime, you don’t have to worry about damage due to melting (a problem common amongst paraffin and other types of waxes) because our candles can easily withstand high temperatures, even in the desert.
